Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need a visa to travel to Romania?: Participants who proceed from outside EU countries may require a visa for traveling to Romania. This depends on the nationality and how long they intend to stay in Romania. For more information on visa please visit Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

2. Can I get an invitation letter?: Yes, if you need an invitation letter, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will contact you if needed and make sure it gets delivered to the postal address you have filled in and through e-mail.

3. When can I submit my abstract?: Abstract submission is open from January 20th, 2011 until March 27th 2011. If your abstract has been selected, you can present your research at our congress in an oral or poster session.
4. Can several persons apply as author for one presentation?: A scientific paper can have two authors and two co-authors. The presentation of a paper can be made by maximum 2 persons (one of which must be the author).
5. Do authors and co-authors register separately?: Each participant must apply for himself. Only the author of a scientific paper is requested to upload the abstract while registering. All other members of the team (after registering themselves) should fill in only the code of the abstract – this code will be received by the author after the abstract is submitted.
6. What are the rules for presenting in Medicalis?: For information regarding oral and poster presentations please go through our Presentation guidelines.
7. Can I choose with whom and where to stay during the congress?: Yes. There will be 2 or 3 telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of our volunteers form the Social Department on the accommodation page. It is compulsory to contact them is order to receive accommodation. Please tell them where and with whom you want to stay.
8. Do I have to arrange accommodation by myself?: If you want to stay some other place than what we offer or if you did not receive accommodation, we will offer you assistance in finding a place that best suits your needs.
9. Do I need to confirm my arrival?: Yes!! you will be informed on how to confirm your arrival at Medicalis at the appropriate time.
10. What happens in case of withdrawal?: In case you change your mind about participating in Medicalis after applying, withdrawal is of your own choice but tax refund is not possible if you have already payed the fee.
11. How much time do I need to wait for your response?: No more than 3 days, usually sooner. We will answer as soon as possible.
